Not the kind you read about in textbooks, the kind you grow into, get humbled by, rebuild, and rise through. I had already been leading for fifteen years, passionately, relentlessly, and with a sense of purpose I genuinely believed was grounded. When everything I thought I knew about leadership was tested.

I found myself on the other side of the world, in Tokyo, navigating an unexpected medical crisis with my husband. In an instant, the version of leadership I had been practicing no longer made sense. The strategies, the structure, the way I pushed, the way I held everything together… all of it was called into question.

What I realized in those months was this:

Leadership is not a position.
Leadership is a practice.

That experience reshaped my understanding of leadership from the old, rigid, masculine model we were taught to emulate, but toward something more grounded, more human, more honest. A kind of leadership that evolves with the times, with our lives, and with the real pressures today’s women leaders face.

Your story may not involve a passport and a hospital room, but every woman leading something meaningful will, at some point, find herself standing at the edge of who she used to be, wondering how to become the leader she’s meant to be next.

And it’s become part of my mission to help women lead from that place authentically, courageously, and in a way that is true to them.

Amplify & Elevate will take place at the beautiful Kendrick Hotel in Banff, an intimate, inspiring setting surrounded by the Rockies. The environment itself is part of the experience.

Your retreat experience includes accommodations, programming, curated leadership sessions, guided conversations, materials, and meals. Everything is designed to support your learning, reflection, and personal expansion.

In most cases, yes, leadership development and training retreats can often be claimed as professional development. Please check with your accountant for your specific situation.

Due to the nature of these events, bookings are non-refundable. However, we are happy to transfer your registration to another person, pending approval from the hotel.
